Restart!

I finally mustered up enough courage to delete my old posts. They were embarrassing, whiny, not well-written, and most importantly, had little direction. I've been blogging since I was in middle school on LJ (username: muahhai) and still cringe when I recall that all my topics revolved around grades, projects, friendship "drama",  and boys. At the same time, I kept a blogger for the more "serious" posts, which read more like superficial introspection. I've always struggled to find a voice for this blog, and since I started Tumblr, it's been buried underneath all the reposts and one-note "this is what I've been into lately" entries. This is either the third or fourth time the restart button has been pressed, but I hope I grow to like this blog and eventually share with everyone else. However, I am finding solace in my embarrassing writing past; it at least shows some growth between then and now.

At 16 y/o: Dinner with friends. Still keeping in touch with these guys.

  1. Wow a restart! I don't see myself doing that anytime soon but I can understand the desire to start fresh! I don't really know what to do with my tumblr because there's still some connections to the old crowd. This isn't necessarily a bad thing but I'm tired of those little moments of hesitation whereby I question if my posts will seem strange.

Anyway, I'm super excited that you got your internship to NYU! And of course the opportunities this will bring, like some nice time with your beau! :) I will have quite a bit of free time after I graduate (I'll write more of this later in my blog hehe), surely I can find some time to visit? One can dream. :D
