One month remaining.

I am having an incredibly hard time processing that I have a month of classes left to conclude my first year of med school. It was especially made evident when I hosted an incoming MS0 this weekend. All her questions, enthusiasm, and eagerness to start were all too familiar yet increasingly foreign. Any MS1 now can barely hold a conversation without coffee much less wants to hold a conversation with anyone in the medical school. If this trend continues its projection, I will be one sleep deprived duck next year.

On Friday, our group presented at the AWHONN (Association of Women's Health Obstetrics and Neonatal Nurses) state convention and received great praise for our project. Hopefully, we can have some good results to show for next year and possibly forecast a decrease in these STI rates.

Apartment hunting is a beeetch. This morning, I thought S and I had found one, locked it down and everything until she emailed back mentioning a tiny caveat. One more person is ahead of us and has until Tuesday to make his/her decision. I'm hoping Mr. Tuesday says no sooner.

I got around to watching Sleeping Beauty yesterday with S, and it was just icky. The cinematography is beautiful as is Emily Browning, but dear lord, were some of the scenes uncomfortable. Melancholia is on my list next, and I hope it's easier to process. However, considering its Lars von Trier, I don't know about that.

  1. I've been wanting to watch Sleeping Beauty but there's no bootleg online that I can find haha I'm guessing Melancholia will work out better...? I want to see that one too!!!

    1. Both of these are on Instant Watch on Netflix! Just as I was about to cancel my subscription, these two gems popped up.
