Flying AA

I swore that I would never fly AA since the time my flight cancelled just before I was supposed to take off to Lubbock. For my medical school interview.

Then, I flew it again when we booked our Las Vegas trip on AA. My flight to Austin was delayed, and then cancelled. I ended up finding a flight to San Antonio and taking a charter bus to Austin at 1AM.

Now, reduced to finding cheap airfare to see S on a more frequent basis, I booked a flight with them next week. There's all this hullabaloo in the news lately telling customers to stay away from AA. Most notably from Gary Shytengart in the NYT. Slate is also running a Don't Fly article.

Fortunately, I have a few days padded in case there are any delays, but I'm not looking forward to waiting around airports.
