Winter break at the beach sounds peculiar, but I think the Festival of Lights will more than make up for it. S is super nervous and excited about visiting Houston. I'm planning to hit the highlights in November, and then immerse him into Houstonian culture in December. He still thinks all of Texas looks like Lubbock, and Azka didn't help with her explanations either. "It's a lot of plains and short buildings. No vegetation really." While it's premature to even think about winter break (my first block isn't even over yet), I think Suzan can visit if everything is laid out early enough. It'd be really great since I haven't seen her in nearly two years.
It might not be anything like Norfolk, VA, but I'm dreaming away because the basal ganglia roadmap can only hijack my brain for so many hours.
